Diane Morgan sits in a dim room in a brown suit, staring at something off camera with the face of a woman who has just been told what an Infinity Stone is. That is the first look at her in Marvel’s VisionQuest, and within hours the Diane Morgan VisionQuest memes had decided she was not playing a character at all. She was Philomena Cunk, and she had questions.

If you have not met Cunk, she is Morgan’s long-running mock documentary host, the one who asks real historians deadpan, gloriously wrong questions. News of Diane Morgan joining the VisionQuest cast broke last year, and the series, with Paul Bettany back as Vision and James Spader as a version of Ultron, premiered on Disney+ this week. I will be honest: I still do not fully understand how Vision came back, so I am on Cunk’s side.

When Did the Jokes Actually Start?
Earlier than the still, it turns out. On premiere night, one fan was already writing Cunk’s narration, including the claim that Vision died aged three, the youngest anyone has ever died of old age. By the next afternoon it had a spin-off pitch about Philomena running a small business with her mate Paul.

So Is He Named Vision Because He Can See?
Once the first look landed, the name jokes came in a flood, because a show called VisionQuest is basically a Cunk question already. Most people are born with vision, as one fan put it, so why does he need to quest for it?

The TastingQuest one got me, mostly because I would absolutely watch a show where somebody licks things for six episodes. The Daredevil question is also, technically, a fair question.

Has Anyone Told Ultron About the Internet?
Ultron got the most attention, since the Age of Ultron plot is a gift for anyone doing the Cunk voice. A robot decided to wipe out humanity after seeing the whole internet, which ignores that the internet also has Pump Up the Jam. And nobody, apparently, ever said how old he was.

The Ultroff joke is the most Cunk of the lot. It is dumb, it is confident, and it would genuinely save several movies.

Diane Morgan VisionQuest Memes Get Philosophical
The smartest jokes went after Vision’s whole deal, a body taken apart and rebuilt, memories wiped and restored. The show’s second episode is literally called Theseus, so somebody had Cunk conclude that Vision is now a boat. Somebody else asked if a memory-wiped Vision is just a very expensive fridge with opinions, which is a question I have asked about myself.

Where Does Cunk Go Next?
The spin-offs are already flying. One fan placed the first ever city in Latveria, Doctor Doom’s country, which Cunk would describe as miles away and very dangerous. Another declared she will return in Avengers: Doomsday, which is not true, but I would like it to be.

So which Marvel movie would you most want Cunk to explain? I would pick Endgame, and I would still be confused at the end.
