I’m a big softie, and I’ll admit it right up front. I cried at a car commercial last week, and it wasn’t even a sad one, the guy just parked really well. So wholesome guys are basically my whole personality, because there’s something special about a dude who does a good thing, or finds a cool rock, and then just wants somebody to see it. No ego, no flexing, just pure joy. I love that for them, and honestly, I love it for me too.

Dads are the main characters here, and I support that, because being a dad is mostly carrying things and saying we’ll see. My son once asked me if I could fight a bear, I said yes, and I’ve been training mentally ever since. These dudes posting their wins aren’t bragging about money or cars. They drove twelve hours to watch a kid score, or bought a wooden sword over somebody’s very clear objection, and that’s the stuff that counts.

Then you’ve got the glow up guys, who I find very inspiring from the couch. One fella ran ten kilometers in the wind, and I once got winded opening a pickle jar, so we’re basically the same person at different stages. Wholesome memes about getting healthier hit hardest when the guy keeps the same partner, the same friends, and the same goofy smile the whole way through. The body changed, but the heart stayed home.

And the friendship ones get me every single time. A handful of old fellas meeting for a pint every Thursday for fifty six years is more commitment than I’ve ever shown a streaming service. Two buddies splitting a lottery jackpot because they shook on it years ago is the exact kind of faith in humanity restored moment I need on a random Tuesday.

I think guys share these because nobody ever really taught most of us how to say I’m proud of myself out loud. So we post a picture of a stick, or a new PS5, or a first apartment after months of living in a car, and we let the internet say it for us. And the internet, for once, actually does. It’s like a big digital high five from a bunch of strangers who mean it.

That’s the part that gets me. Under all the jokes, these are just people being happy for other people, which is honestly the rarest thing you can find online. So I’m going to try to be more like these guys. Celebrate the small stuff, call my dad, maybe go find a really good stick. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Small wins. Big hearts. Nice stick.

If you need more good vibes, our wholesome memes and pics for a mood reset are a cozy next stop, and the wholesome boomers collection is pure sunshine in a polo shirt. We’ve also got dad memes, faith in humanity roundups, and plenty of happy memes for the days when the news gets loud. Go on, take a break. You’ve earned a win too.
