I have never once eaten a reasonable amount of anything, and I have made peace with it. Food is the only relationship where I show up every single day, hungry and a little too excited. It is also Halloween week, which means my kitchen counter currently looks like a candy crime scene. So when the internet serves up food memes this good, I clear my schedule, loosen the belt, and dig in.

My favorite people on the internet are the ones posting funny food tweets with zero shame, because they are my people. Spending your last $18.86 on tacos and then watching them hit the car seat is not a tragedy, it is a rite of passage. I once dropped a whole chicken parm sub in a parking lot and ate the middle like an archaeologist. Nobody was watching, and I would have done it anyway.
Then there are the food fails that are not fails at all, just weird food combinations made by people braver than me. Spaghetti muffins and a hoagie that is ninety percent cold cuts both deserve a parade. The only thing I cannot respect is the guy who found the ham bigger than the cracker and called his house evil. Brother, that is a blessing.
Everybody has a food habit they would never admit at a dinner party, and the internet is basically one giant confession booth with a snack bar. We laugh because we recognize ourselves in the guy reheating Taco Bell on a wood stove. Under all of it is something sweet: food is how we take care of each other, even when the hot dog bun is a breadstick.
Somewhere a cat is sitting in a bakery case, and honestly, same.
Weird Food Is Just Somebody’s Midnight Snack That Accidentally Got a Marketing Budget is the perfect second course if you still have room, and I Thought I Could Cook Until Cooking Memes Started Describing My Dinners will humble whoever does the cooking at your place. Bring a napkin.
