Sunday at four o’clock used to be when your stomach dropped, because you remembered the book report due in the morning and you had read the back cover. I got a B-minus on a book I still haven’t opened, and I’m proud of that. These classic memes come out of the vault every afternoon, and yesterday’s trip to the mall is still open if you missed it. Go ahead, the report can wait.

My teachers warned me none of this would ever help me in life, and they were right, because here I am spending Sunday with old memes instead of finishing anything. The best memes never asked you to read a whole book, which is why I remember every one of them and not a single chapter of Lord of the Flies. These vintage memes and viral tweets about cats and bears are basically my entire education at this point, and I still copied half of it from the kid sitting next to me in homeroom.

Tomorrow afternoon another batch comes out of the vault, and I will have done no homework for it. For something newer, yesterday’s meme dump has a dog in goggles, and the password edition is still good for anybody who reused their dog’s name. If one of these got you through the dread, tap a share button below and send it to the kid who let you copy their answers. You still owe them a soda, and at this point probably interest.

Who needs to see this?

Send it to the friend who’ll laugh the hardest, or post it for everyone.
