Every school had one teacher who wore a denim jumper with apples stitched on it, and by Friday afternoon she was the only adult in the building still smiling. I think about her more than I think about most of my relatives. These classic memes come out of the vault every afternoon, same as yesterday’s dig, and they have aged about as well as that jumper. Ring the bell.

Some of these I first saw on a phone with a cracked screen and a battery that died at 40 percent, and I still laugh in the exact same spots. The turkey named Bernard deserves a pension, and the guy pretending to read milk labels is me at every grocery store I have ever entered. Old memes like the ninja cult tweet hit very different on a second read once you admit you would have joined too, free costume and all. That is the thing about the best memes: they wait for you to grow up, then get funnier.
The vault opens again tomorrow afternoon with another round of vintage memes and viral tweets that refuse to retire, so the weekend is covered whether you made plans or not. If you missed lunch, yesterday’s meme dump has the fresher stuff, and Monday’s trip through the vault is still worth the scroll on a slow Friday. Pass this along to whoever sat next to you in homeroom, because they definitely remember the jumper too, and they probably still owe you a pencil.

Who needs to see this?
Send it to the friend who’ll laugh the hardest, or post it for everyone.
