The Love Actually cast is having a little reunion and it’s just what my holiday heart needs
“I feel it in mah fingas, I feel it in mah, tooooes.”
That, to me, is the sound of Christmas.
ABC announced that the wonderful cast from “Love Actually,” one of the greatest Xmas movies of all time, will be having a little reunion on November 29th to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film’s original release.
Now, more than ever, we all need some love…actually.
“The Laughter & Secrets of ‘Love Actually,’ 20 Years Later: A @DianeSawyer Special” premieres Tuesday, Nov. 29th at 8/7c on @ABC. Stream later on @Hulu. https://t.co/ZGewRPfd2o pic.twitter.com/aDUYk4gAJR

“Love Actually” is one of my go-to holiday movies, much to the chagrin of my girlfriend. I make us watch it every single year. It’s solidly in the rotation with “Die Hard”, ” “Home Alone” (or Home Alone 2, depending on the year), “Die Hard”, and the Trailer Park Boys Christmas Special. (If you haven’t seen that last one, I HIGHLY recommend it for a slot in your own rotation.)
I know there are a lot of “Love Actually” haters out there and I’ve gotta say I have no time for you. Who hurt you, I must ask? Is your heart made of coal? Do you see things that are utterly delightful and like to see them made not that way?
These are the only three options in my mind.
Even if you have horrible taste and the film is not your cup of tea, you’ve got to admit that the cast is stacked. And I am super excited to see many of them, including Hugh Grant, Laura Linney, Emma Thomson, and Bill Nighy together again for this well-timed reunion. In my mind, Colin Firth and Lúcia Moniz are happily married somewhere on the coast of Portugal, and no one can tell me otherwise.
Check out the reunion on November 29th on ABC.
