I’ve been the idiot at every table I’ve ever sat at, so I read DnD memes the way other guys read their own police reports. I once burned down a tavern because a bartender looked at me funny, and my friends still bring it up at weddings. I don’t regret it. I just think you should know what kind of person picked these out for you.

Those three words have saved more lives than healers.
SaveThe funniest thing about being a player is how confident I am right up until the DM says “are you sure?” That’s the whole game to me. I’ve announced plans with total authority, then heard those three words and suddenly remembered I have a family. It’s why dungeon master memes are all the same guy, smiling behind a cardboard screen, watching consequences show up right on time.
I’ve got real respect for whoever’s running the game, because I tried it once and lasted four sessions. You spend 20 hours building a world, and all the party wants to know is whether the shopkeeper has a fire bow. Then half of them cancel, and you’re alone with your notes, which say one thing about smoothies. Most ttrpg memes are that guy’s cry for help, and I keep forwarding them to him instead of showing up.
What gets me is that nobody at those tables is there for the rules. We argue about spell slots and repeat the same dnd jokes for an hour because it’s easier than telling four guys you love them. Some of us haven’t played since spring and still keep a character sheet in the glove box. That’s not a game anymore, that’s a family with worse math.
The dice are cursed. The snacks are gone. Thursday still works.
If Your Halloween Costume Is Just Your Character, These DnD Memes Get It is last week’s haul, and 30 Fantasy Memes For Nerds Feeling A Little Whimsical is for whoever shows up early to help set up. Nobody has ever shown up early to help set up.
