Have you had a tiny crocodile in racing goggles shriek “scrib doon” at you yet? If not, welcome, and I’m sorry. Biddy Blas is a cocky pod racer from Star Wars: Galactic Racer who talks in shrill Huttese, and “scrib doon” is his catchphrase. As far as I can tell there’s no official translation, which is exactly why the Biddy Blas memes work: the phrase means whatever you need it to mean, and it always sounds like a victory lap.

If you have never heard the voice, start with a clip of Biddy Blas’s best lines, because the delivery is the whole thing. He crows “ding dong pookie, ding dong” like he’s paging his own fan club, and he brags about a past life as a Huttball player and a jatz trumpeter. I believed every word for about a second, which says more about me than him.

Scrib Doon Now Works for Every Situation
I’ll admit I said it out loud while parallel parking last week. Nailed it, too. That’s the branch of the meme I love most, where scrib doon stops being dialogue and becomes a whole mood, the thing you mutter when you win a tiny argument or spot your exit before the GPS does.

Somebody even brought a SCRIB DOON sign to a wrestling show, and that’s a better fit than it looks, because the man behind the goggles knows his way around a wrestling ring. More on him in a minute.
Biddy Blas Memes Treat Him Like He Already Won
The second wave is pure swagger. Fans gave him gold chains, an armchair fit for a mob boss, and sneakers that cost more than my first car, usually while something burns in the background. That’s him in a nutshell: a racer whose confidence crosses the finish line several laps before he does. Even Lucasfilm Games executive producer Craig Derrick noticed, posting that “the algorithm continues to properly prioritize Mister Biddy Blas.”

The “my homie thinks you’re cute” one is the post I keep sending to friends, mostly because his blank stare while waiting for an answer does all the work.
Everybody Wants to Protect This Little Menace
For a character people love to call a brat, he has a surprisingly loyal security detail. You can watch his victory dance on Daily Star Wars Games, a little shimmy like a toddler who just discovered bass, and then you can watch him go down in a fireball, posted by a player who apologized immediately. The fandom took that second clip personally.

Star Wars Fans Rewrote His Racing History
Since Galactic Racer is a racing game, the crossovers wrote themselves. He got fake Nintendo 64 box art I absolutely would have rented from Blockbuster, and young podracer Anakin finally has a rival to be mad at. Biddy is a Crocin, the same species that showed up in Solo: A Star Wars Story, so there’s even a little canon under the nonsense.

Not all of it is a joke, either. Some of the best stuff is straight fan art, like this watercolor of Biddy lounging on his racer with a burger, a soda and a lizard buddy, signed by an artist called noppy. That’s when you know a background alien has made it: people start drawing him on his day off.
The Man Behind the Goggles Is Having a Week
The voice belongs to Richard Summers-Calvert, a British wrestler, which explains the sign and a lot of the energy. In a video thanking fans for the Biddy love, he said all the attention left him “overwhelmed and overstimulated,” and PC Gamer’s report on the actor behind Biddy Blas says he hopes to meet new fans at conventions. In a follow-up he teased some good news he couldn’t share yet and said he appreciates “all the love. And hate, and frustration,” which is the most racing game sentence ever spoken.
So now I need to know: where have you said it? The grocery line, the group chat, the exact moment your toast pops up perfect? Tell me I’m not the only adult whispering scrib doon at small victories.
