Every Monday someone at work asks how my weekend was, and I have to turn two days of lying on the couch into something that sounds like a life. This time I said “pretty busy,” which is technically true if you count Sunday’s meme dump. That is the deal here: a fresh batch every day at lunch, the closest thing this week has to a vacation. Clock out for a minute.

Knight rising from a tomb captioned arise weekday soldiers, the shareholders demand sacrifice

My alarm, read aloud.

That shop dog has a better seat in the waiting room than I have ever had, and he did not even bring a car. The knight at the end is exactly how my alarm sounded, minus the chainmail, plus a snooze button I hit three times before admitting defeat. I also laughed way too hard at the PlayStation 6 pitch, which is a bad sign for someone who still has not finished a game from 2019. Some of these funny memes lean dark, so if you made it through the middle stretch, you have earned your sandwich.

The next batch lands tomorrow at noon, Tuesday and all its nonsense included, and it will be waiting whether or not the week has gone well. Until then, yesterday afternoon’s classic memes are a softer landing, and Saturday’s meme dump still has the flying car jokes. If any of these hilarious memes or funny pictures got you through the first lunch break of the week, send the post to the coworker who also said their weekend was pretty busy and knows exactly what you meant.
