Before one phone did everything, leaving the house meant packing an iPod, a digital camera, a phone with a slide out keyboard and a PSP like some kind of field medic. My jeans never recovered, and honestly neither did I. Yesterday’s sick day classics set the mood, and this daily trip through classic memes digs a little deeper into the old stuff. Charger not included.

That gadget photo is a full tour of my teenage years, and I can still hear the PSP startup sound if I close my eyes. A lot of these old memes have outlived the devices I first saw them on, which is impressive and a little rude. The pizza roll holder is how every PS2 case should have shipped. The cat checking sightlines is still one of the best memes about pets ever made, and I say that as someone whose cat is doing it to me right now from the hallway.

More vintage memes and viral tweets arrive tomorrow afternoon, right when Monday starts to feel extra long. In the meantime, today’s meme dump has the first cold weather jokes of the season, and Thursday’s drive home classics still hold up better than the traffic did. If one of these sent you digging through a drawer for an old charger, share the post with the friend who still has a working iPod and will not stop telling you about it.
