Posting a blank end zone two days after losing 36-6 to LSU is the single bravest thing a college football account has done all season. On Tuesday, Texas A&M teased a new Kyle Field design with two empty checkerboard rectangles and the words “Stay Tuned,” and within a day the Texas A&M end zone memes had filled in every square inch for free.

In fairness, the account asked for it. The graphic promised a new end zone design loading for Saturday, October 3, when the 2-2 Aggies host Arkansas still hunting their first SEC win. The Houston Chronicle counted hundreds of replies, most of them fans flooding the Kyle Field teaser with designs nobody in College Station would ever approve.

The End Zones Are Doing the Coaching Now

The cruelest edits went straight for the record. Somebody simply renamed the place the Home of the 2-2 Man, which I respect, because I have also called a losing streak a personality. Others painted “8-4” in both end zones, which is less a joke than a forecast, and one fan helpfully labeled the turf “Please Score Here.”

Then it got personal. “Tornado Safe Zone” on one end and “No Chance of Touchdown Here” on the other is the meanest thing you can say about a field, and it is not entirely unfair: the Aggies have scored 20 points in their last six quarters.

“Home of the 12th Man” answered by “The Other 11 Are Still Looking for the Ball” is the one I would frame. “Help Us” over “Plz Send a Coordinator” reads less like trolling and more like a hostage note smuggled out by the offense.

Jimbo Fisher Is Still Getting Paid in These Memes

No Aggies roast is complete without the bill. Texas A&M fired Jimbo Fisher in 2023 and is still paying off his buyout, so naturally one end zone reads “Still Paying” and the other spells out what fans figure the yearly damage is. Another fan went full daytime TV and turned Kyle Field into a J.G. Wentworth ad. I have watched that commercial at two in the morning more times than I would tell a doctor, and seeing it painted on an SEC field healed something in me.

Every Rival Got a Free Billboard

Rival fans treated the blank space like free advertising. Texas fans got “Texas / Is Our Daddy,” somebody painted Kentucky and App State into the end zones purely to be rude, and the “Not Real Military School” edit went after the Corps of Cadets with zero mercy. “Weirdos” in both end zones is the shortest entry and somehow the most hurtful.

Spirit Halloween Moved Into the Kyle Field End Zone

The best Texas A&M end zone memes forgot about football entirely. Spirit Halloween claimed both ends, Grim Reaper included, because nothing says October like a pop-up store moving into an empty space. Buc-ee’s got “It’s Potty Time” with “44 Miles” down the sideline, which is the most Texas sentence ever painted on grass.

Rick Astley showed up uninvited, “Foosball / Is the Devil” handed the playbook to The Waterboy’s mama, and Ralph Amsden’s “Call the General” edit landed Tuesday night, three hours after the teaser, which is faster than the offense has moved all month.

The Real Design Was Camo the Whole Time

Spare a thought for whoever pressed “post.” Danny Davis summed up their week with a man staring at a monitor in total silence, and I felt it in my chest, because I once replied “love you too” to my dentist’s appointment reminder. The actual reveal came Wednesday night: the special end zone design for Arkansas is tan and green camouflage to match the Aggies’ new camo uniforms.

Here is the sweet part, and I promise there is one. Only a fan base that cares this much shows up by the hundreds to roast a paint job, and every one of these edits took longer to make than the joke strictly needed. Kickoff against Arkansas is 7 p.m. Eastern on Saturday on ESPN2, and if the Aggies find those camo end zones even twice, everyone involved will feel a little better about their week.
