Cool optical illusions
There is nothing more frustrating than looking directly at something and still being wrong. Cool optical illusions exist to remind you that your brain is mostly guessing. You trust your eyes because they have not failed you recently, and then an image comes along and quietly proves you are overconfident.
What makes these illusions infuriating is how smug they feel. The image is not moving. The colors are not changing. And yet your brain insists otherwise. You stare longer, convinced effort will fix it. It never does. These posts are funny because they reveal how fragile perception really is.

Then color gets involved and everything collapses. Identical spheres refuse to look identical. Static patterns start vibrating like they are alive. By the end, you are squinting at your screen, annoyed at yourself, and deeply suspicious of your own senses.
