25 Classic Memes & Tweets You’ll Never Delete

Classic memes are the internet’s comfort food. Here’s a fresh batch of 25 vintage memes and older viral tweets that just won’t disappear—no matter how many new platforms show up. If you’ve caught yourself laughing at a meme you saw in 2019 (and you’re still sending it in 2025), you know the power of a classic. These gems survived every algorithm update, every “new” trend, and at least three attempts to clean up your meme folder. They’re the posts your group chat still lives on.

In these classic memes spot all the best flavors of meme nostalgia in this mix. There are reaction memes that started entire meme trends, viral tweets that hit the timeline so hard they became part of internet culture, and timeless punchlines that still show up on your explore page. Some vintage memes hit new relevance every time something wild happens in the news. Others are comfort classics—the kind you can always count on for a mood boost. From “unexpected text” legends to memes that started on Vine or Tumblr, these are the backbone of meme history. Every scroll brings back the good old days… and some you wish you could forget.

Craving even more meme nostalgia? Our 90s meme collections are stacked with deep cuts and underrated legends, or check out trending parenting tweets for the next batch of classics in the making.
