A lot of the flavor issue could have been attributable to the sausage I chose - I did use Italian sausage - and didn't vary from the recipe. It was disappointing - hardly anyone (group of about 17 tried it and I ended up dumping about 7/8 of the pan. I made this tonight. Didn't have Dry Sherry and someone said to substitute with Apple Cider Vinegar - which I did. The final taste was way too full of a vinegar taste which I didn't like at all. The concept of this meal is definitely good but don't use vinegar as a substitute. The balsamic vinegar may have added to the bad taste at the end too. Not sure I would use this recipe again without all the original recipe ingredients. — Save
