Geography fails
Geography. It is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments. It is also, apparently, a subject that many people slept through entirely. In an age where we carry high-definition maps in our pockets, you would think we’d be better at this. You would be wrong.
We have people confusing Detroit with the Soviet Union. We have flat earthers getting roasted by their own logic. We have politicians who think vaccines were developed by magic instead of German scientists. It is painful. It is embarrassing. But mostly, it is hilarious. Please, sit back and enjoy feeling intellectually superior for five minutes.

I hope you enjoyed that tour of geographical ineptitude. It really puts things in perspective. Next time you feel bad about getting lost in your own neighborhood, just remember there is someone out there who thinks “American” is a language separate from English. You are doing fine.
It’s a good reminder that just because someone has a Twitter account doesn’t mean they know where anything is. Let this be a lesson to all of us: check a map before you post. Just check it. It takes two seconds.
