32 Stranger Things Finale Memes That Are Better Than The Actual Ending

Stranger Things finale memes

Worst. Finale. Ever. Well, perhaps not the worst, but certainly not the cinematic masterpiece we were promised. We waited years—literal years—for this? For color grading that looks like a Linkin Park music video from 2003? It is insulting to the intelligence of the fandom. The CGI looked like it was rendered on a toaster, and the plot holes were large enough to drive a Demogorgon through.

The internet, thankfully, pulls no punches. These memes are the only thing salvaging this disaster. They rightfully point out that for a show with a budget higher than the GDP of a small country, the visual effects should not look like Spy Kids 3-D. It is a valid criticism! We deserve better than orange filters and inexplicable plot armor!

Scrolling through these memes is far more entertaining than the actual runtime of the finale. The comparison to early 2000s nu-metal videos is spot on. It really exposes the laziness in the production design. And don’t get me started on the logic of Max graduating.

It is cathartic to see the community come together to roast these decisions. We love the show, but we must hold creators accountable when they deliver a product that looks like a cutscene from a PlayStation 2 game. Hopefully, the Duffer Brothers are reading these tweets and taking notes for the next attempt.

If you enjoy watching the internet roast popular media, you will enjoy our collections of Game of Thrones reaction memes, Marvel CGI fails, and movie plot hole discussions.
