People Standing In Weird Ways

What are we doing here, people? Seriously? I walk down the street, and I see people standing like they’re made of cooked spaghetti. You got two legs! Use ‘em! I saw a guy at the airport yesterday, he’s got one leg up on the counter, the other leg in a different zip code, leaning back like he’s in a hammock. Buddy, you’re checking a bag, not auditioning for Cirque du Soleil!

And the leaning! Everybody’s leaning on something. A pole, a wall, each other. We can’t support our own weight anymore? It’s embarrassing. You see these couples, the guy is bent backward at a forty-five-degree angle trying to kiss his girl, looking like he’s about to snap in half. Just stand up straight! It’s not hard! We’re degenerating, folks. We’re turning into pretzels out there.

This gallery is a testament to the fact that humans are weird creatures when they think nobody is watching. Or even when they know people are watching. From the security guard doing a casual ballet pose to the business women squatting in heels like it’s a gym session, the range of human posture is apparently limitless.

It really makes you conscious of your own stance. You look at these and think, “Do I stand like a flamingo when I’m waiting for the bus?” The answer is probably yes. We all have our weird resting poses, but thankfully, most of us don’t get caught on camera looking like a glitched video game character.

If you like laughing at human behavior, check out our other collections of public fails, funny candids, and people acting weird in public.
