Ummm. Firmly in the middle of GenX here, born in 1972. Yes ma’am we got under our desks in kindergarten, first, second, third and I am thinking forth as well. Under the desk for everything except a fire drill. Bad weather, get under your desk. OMG the commie’s (Cold War era) may bomb us, drills. They for some reason decided that sitting all lined up in the hallway was safer some time around my starting of middle school. The Cold War was winding down.

  3. Jcheck says:

@sarah conner wrong. 1984 baby here, and I did all these things that gen x did. Pockets of “gen x” places still existed into the 90’s

Without the supposed abuse and neglect we end up with a world full of sissies and Karen’s. I hate the current times no I loathe the current times!

I miss nothing from the 80’s. The cars were garbage, the fashion was horrid, and the hair was huge. But I do miss the how free we were. I would hop on my bike, ride into town at 8am, ride around all day, and be home for dinner at 6pm, no questions asked. I once put on 52 miles in a day, plus went swimming for a couple of hours. I wish I had that energy back!
